Home Inspector Opportunity
Good inspectors can earn a great living and have fun spending time outdoors… as well as in, on and under homes! We show you how, and provide the tools and support!
We are an independent, locally owned company committed to providing the highest quality service and care for our clients and customers. We are looking for team players who are people oriented with good communication and computer skills.
Inspectors primarily complete residential home inspections, using proprietary inspection software, for homeowners and others involved in real estate transactions. Additional inspections include wood destroying organisms inspections, mold screenings and commercial inspections. The purpose of the inspection process is to provide clients with unbiased and non-threatening information they need as they make significant decisions regarding the condition of their existing or future home.
This is a physically demanding and people-oriented business relying heavily on attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Successful inspectors must be able to climb ladders, crawl under homes, carry tools and equipment, all while smiling and showing their enjoyment in providing a valuable service to the client. Inspectors must be able to communicate effectively with customers, clients and other team members; operate a computer and digital camera; navigate the internet and use provided software applications. Inspectors use common sense, courtesy, flashlights and ladders – all interchangeably.
Wild Rivers Inspections provides all necessary tools, protective equipment, software and field computer equipment. We also provide E&O and Liability Insurance coverage. We reimburse for approved training and professional memberships on completion. Benefits – in addition to a great working environment – include 401(k) and the ability to control your own schedule.
Inspectors compensation is based on level of training and experience and the number of inspections performed. Inspectors with additional certifications (infrared, RADON, mold, new construction etc.) may earn additional income.
Inspectors must possess an Oregon home inspector certification and be a member or candidate member of the California Real Estate Inspectors Association. Individuals who do not possess these credentials may be eligible for our training program.
Interested candidates must have a reliable vehicle and a good driving record, and be eligible to work in the US. A pre-employment background check and drug screening are required as part of the hiring process. Only those individuals ready and willing to work hard and travel throughout southern Oregon and northern California need apply.
